Sasson Soffer

BiographySasson Soffer attended Brooklyn College and studied with Mark Rothko, Ad Reinhardt, and other Abstract Expressionist painters. As a painter, Soffer has twice exhibited at the Whitney Biennial, twice at the Carnegie International, and has had solo shows at the Portland Museum of Art in Maine, the Corpus Christ Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Museum, and others. His work is represented in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum, the Albright Knox Gallery, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and other public and private collections. He is also known as a sculptor, who exhibited his sculptures in various public spaces throughout the United States, including the Whitney Museum, Battery Park, and in front of Lincoln Center.
