Sondra Perry
Sondra Perry (b. 1986) is an artist working in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Recent solo exhibitions include Typhoon coming on at the Institute for Contemporary Art, Miami, initiated by the Serpentine Galleries, London (2018); Eclogue for [in]HABITABILITY at Seattle Art Museum, Seattle (2017); and Resident Evil at The Kitchen, New York (2016). Sondra has exhibited widely in group exhibitions in venues such as Akademie Der Künste (10th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art, Berlin, 2018); FRAC Bretagne (Biennale de Rennes - À Cris Ouverts, Rennes, 2018); Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston (2018); Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, Cambridge (2017); Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia (2017); The New Museum, New York (2017); Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn (2016); The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York (2015); and MoMA PS1, Long Island City (2015), among many others. Spanning the last five years, Perry has screened her videos and presented talks at institutions including the Vera List Center at The New School, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and The Artists’s Institute, New York.
